Leisure

The convenience demanded by the pace of modern living has not been forgotten. Homeowners will find themselves with easy access to Chingford, with its leisure facilities, shops, schools and other amenities.

The historic market town of Waltham Abbey is within easy driving distance too, and can quickly become your go-to place when visitors arrive. The Abbey itself is a stunning location to start. With its superb stained glass windows and impressive sixteenth century tower, it really is a beautiful place and remains one of the area’s must-see sites. Waltham Abbey celebrates its past through its many museums and attractions. And if you like your history with a bit more bite, try the Royal Gunpowder Mills museum. Here you can safely explore the history of explosives with all the bells and whistles; bangs and flashes.

Fancy a change of scene? The town of Loughton is also close by – and gives you a completely different sort of day out. This is the place to come when you want to enjoy a meal out or sample a bit of the local café culture.

Ardent shoppers will be drawn by its dazzling array of designer boutiques; shopping in Loughton is always an exhilarating experience. Loughton also hosts an excellent farmer’s market. Together with the thriving restaurants, bars and cafés it makes Loughton the perfect retreat for laid back days in convivial surroundings.

Of course, one of the other great benefits about Gilwell Hill is its close proximity to London. Hop on a train and you can be there within half an hour. It reinforces that feeling of being just where you need to be – close to all of that beautiful English countryside but still within easy reach of all that London has to offer.

A budding new community that will appeal to all ages, Gilwell Hill offers a safe and appealing environment for everyone. The community centre is set to become a hub of local activity. And with plenty of recreational opportunities on the doorstep, there is so much here to please the most discerning home buyer.
