Local school children visit Glebe Road

Hard hats and high-vis vests were required by children from the Perse Pelican Pre-preparatory School when they visited Hill Residential's Glebe Road site in Cambridge, which is opposite the school.

Ted Layton, contracts manager, and Tom Hill, site manager, gave a health and safety talk, as well as showing the year one children the make-up of a traditional house, different types of drainage and the purposes of cavity wall and steel. The children then had a tour of the site with questions relating to the issues they had learnt and which they all seemed to remember.

After their visit the children wrote thank you letters and sent in drawings of their dream homes and gardens, which Tom has used to create a display board.

Glebe Road will provide two private for sale six-bedroom homes, which are scheduled to complete in December 2012.
