Old School Court is the perfect place for those who enjoy an active Shelford Delilifestyle, getting out and about couldn’t be easier. There are lots of good trails for walkers to explore, such as the Wandlebury Country Park and Nature Reserve. Golfers are well served by the excellent facilities at the Gog Magog golf course, just a couple of miles away.

Travel

Being so close to Cambridge – just four miles away – is one of the advantages of living in Great Shelford. You are on the bus route to Cambridge and can be there in half an hour. The buses leave every ten minutes or you can take the train and be there in less than 15 minutes.

Newmarket, widely recognised as the birthplace of thoroughbred horse racing is 18 miles away, for an exciting day or night at the races. The rural market town of Saffron Walden, with its fine Quaker built buildings, its castle and museum is just 10 miles away; a great place for a day out.

Old School Court is conveniently located for getting out and about by car too. The A505, A11 and M11 are all within two or three miles of the village.

London is an easy train ride away – and the station is only half a mile from Old School Court. If you’re going further afield, Stansted is the nearest airport, 25 miles away.
